my scanner isn't working (and I'm re-writing this post.)

[Last night, I was so tired while
writing this post, it actually
made no sense, what so ever
when I read it this morning.]

This post is about the events of 04/30/2009

AWESOME.

So I've had this printer/scanner/copier since September, right? And it's a good one. Conor, Bill and everyone else on the planet has used it a million times, no problem. I finally go to use it for the first time tonight, and I CAN'T MAKE IT FUCKING WORK.
Goddamnit.
So, with my incredible apologies, here are some god-awful photos of the sketches I've done this week (mostly just today, y'know, considering I woke up at 5am, bummed and drew at Herrell's for three hours, then bummed, drew, and begged for money..I'll get into all of this in a second.

[Alex is the only person who will appreciate the drawing above.]
"Donkey Chelsea Part II"

Anyway, so-a-here we go!
(Oldest to Newest!)

I did this as a reminder to do this painting. I've done a better, much, much, nicer version of it on one of my "artist trading cards," but I couldn't find the packet of them anywhere. Which becomes a concern. Hrm.

Either way, all of the sketches I'm posting from here forth are done all in Paint Markers, and will be re-done either on the trading cards or in a much larger scale on canvas. I'm not sure if I would stick with the paint markers or move to paint & paint markers for those canvas ones.

These next three sketches were all done after an exhausting day (04/29) with a Realtor, and a failed attempt at trying to clean my room. So, sleep deprivation, determination to do something, and what have you resulted in these three sketches.

I'm not sure if I like how the fish food came out in this. It was difficult to do with such a think marker, but I think once I go out and get my new ones, I'll be okay. :)

So,I really didn't like this one, so much in fact, that the picture you see of it now is only of the cat. I will be cutting it out and using it in something else later, my spacey-ness of the other night was just too powerful for this to turn into a good thing. Oh well, at least I didn't mess up the cat too much. :)
This is the last of the super-sleepy-series (I'll use that one day) I like it. I was tempted to give it to a boy on the 66 bus yesterday (04/30) it was one of those times where there wasn't a way to without being creepy. If I had white hair it would have been okay, but I don't. I have a shaved (growing back in) head with white bangs. So, sometimes that doesn't go off very well on a public bus with confronting children in front of their parents.

APRIL 30th, 2009 STARTS NOW.

Well! I started my day off nicely; I woke up at 5am to a bright sky, a cool breeze from my window, and birds chirping. So I got up, put on whatever I had left, which ended up being all black, (great) and long sleeved (awesome) just in time for the beautiful, hot, weather. So I walk over to the Laundromat because I needed a few things cleaned for a successful living this week:
1! Showering Abilities
(green towel) 2! Free Comic Book Day Tank Girl Costume
("DUMB ASS" shirt Bill made me)
3! Covering My Ass
(black jeans)

Soon, I realized that the laundromat was not open, because, well, nothing was open. It was 5:30am.
So I started walking around, then went to Dunkin' Donuts, stood in the doorway, then promptly left.
I started to head to Herrell's Ice Cream/ Coffee Shop. They didn't open 'till 7:00am. I sat, and drew.
For and hour and a half. On the street. It was neat. That's what the sketch above is...& not done yet!
Herrell's opened at 6:45am. This is where three hours of coffee, bagels, & drawing began.
So, that, and the next three images are all sketches I did in Herrell's, in Allston, MA. Down the street from my house. I got there just as the door opened(6:45am) I sat and drew, and drew, bummed for a bit, drew, ate, drank, drew, then went to the bathroom. And as I was drawing some more...

I started to get really, really, tired. And the boy sitting next to me kept looking over, and kind of doing that "I want to start conversation with you, but I'm not going to" thing. It was cute, I guess. I was just too tired to reciprocate. Sorry nice ham-egg-&-cheese-on-a-bagel-boy, it's nothing personal (or unreasonable) I just really, really, want to sleep or go see houses at 12:00pm, and then sleep.

I stayed until 10:30am. I then moved from eating a delicious jalapeno cream cheese bagel, and super free re-fills of almond iced coffee all morning to realizing that I gave the two dollars I needed for my laundry away to someone else.
FUCK! So, my solution to the problem? I sat outside the laundromat drew some pictures of the only thing I could; clean clothing. I proceeded to try and sell them for my cause, and two lovely gentlemen were nice enough to donate a dollar to me, so I gave them a sketch in return. Two dollars made, and two drawings sold!
I was in business (to clean my three pieces of laundry.)

This was the only one I took a picture of, and I'm glad that I did. It was my favorite of the two. On the two pictures that I gave out, I wrote my blogspot url on, so if you got one of my sketches, Hi. And thank you again, I'm wearing my jeans right now, and they feel, look, and smell, wonderful.
If you got this picture out of the two, then hi! Thanks for the nice chat. I hope I didn't make you feel bad for me. :)

Either way, then I got into conversation with the man fixing the floor at the laundromat, Kevin met up with me, and we went to look at houses. We thought it was perfect, but we couldn't get that kind of money in time. So the hunt in still on! Either way, it was a fun day. I liked it quite a bit.
Hope you all enjoyed my little journey as much as I did.

See you later alligators!
